ICCI welcomes Américo Sampaio to the team

Américo Sampaio

We are thrilled to announce that Américo Sampaio is joining ICCI as Director of Partnerships! 

Américo holds a degree in Sociology and Politics and an MBA in Economics and Government Relations. He is also a public policy advocacy expert and specialist in pooling and social listening for cause-based campaigns.

He has also completed the executive education program ‘Leadership, Organizing and Action: Leading Change’ at the Harvard Kennedy School and is currently studying for the Executive Program of Neuromarketing at the Brazilian Institute of Neuromarketing and Neuroeconomics.

With nearly 20 years of experience in civil society and philanthropy, Américo joins ICCI following a career that includes roles such as project coordinator at CIEDS, director at Escola de Governo de São Paulo, manager at Comunitas, coordinator of the Rede Nossa São Paulo, campaign manager at Purpose Brasil, and co-founder of Estratégia Brasil. At the Instituto Clima e Sociedade (iCS), he led communications and engagement efforts.

Américo has contributed to major campaigns and coalitions in ICCI’s cause areas: climate, democracy, and justice. He has also been a columnist for CBN and Fórum magazine, as well as a contributor to the development of IREX’s Clean Energy Incubator program.
