2024 was the first full year of activities for ICCI. We started the year as a small organization: just two people, a diagnosis of the importance of strategic communications and its chronic underfunding, a few ideas about how to contribute to this ecosystem, and a lot of energy to bring them to life.

Over the course of the year, we built an incredible team of nine professionals with a rich and diverse range of experiences, all highly committed to ICCI’s mission. The collective efforts of this team gave rise to a robust organization, with a strong organizational culture and impactful strategies that are coming to life and making a positive difference in the areas we aim to address. ICCI extends its heartfelt gratitude to the individuals who dedicate their time, skills, and energy to this collective endeavor. You are ICCI!

We can not go without mentioning our amazing Trustees, who played such a fundamental role in the history of ICCI. Alessandra Orofino, Américo Sampaio, Carlos Vicente, Cris Sultani, and Tom Brooks: we are eternally grateful for your time, intelligence, experience, credibility, and care. ICCI would not exist without you.

We were also privileged to build relationships with incredible funders with whom we share a sense of purpose, worldview, and an unshakable belief in the importance of strategic communications to drive progress in our cause areas: climate, democracy, and justice. By supporting us, our funders made the difficult decision to back an organization still in its formative stages—a decision we know is far from trivial. We express our immense admiration and gratitude for the trust placed in us. As always, we will honor this trust with hard work, unwavering ethics, and an obsessive commitment to generating positive impact in our cause areas. May we continue on this journey together for many years to come!

Finally, we extend our gratitude to the countless individuals, organizations, and partners who contributed to the development of ICCI over this past year. From the very beginning, ICCI has been a truly collective effort.
