ICCI welcomes Ana Carolina Lourenço to the team
Ana Carolina Lourenço
We are excited to welcome Ana Carolina Lourenço as our new programmatic director.
Ana Carolina is a sociologist with over 10 years of experience in non-profit organizations in Latin America and the Caribbean, particularly in democratic strengthening, gender and race inequalities and socio-environmental justice.
She led Avina Foundation in Brazil, a global philanthropic foundation rooted in Latin America, and the Rapid Response Program of the Urgent Action Fund for Latin America and the Caribbean (UAF-LAC). She is currently a member of several boards and Councils, such as the media and democracy board of FGV, the Rio de Janeiro City Council, Núcleo Ypykuéra, and the citizenship and democracy board of Grupo Votorantim. She is also co-founder of Movimento Mulheres Negras Decidem and organizer of the book "A Radical Imaginação Política das Mulheres Negras Brasileiras".
With her solid network of collaborations and ability to drive significant change in diverse areas, Carol joins ICCI to build our programmatic strategy aiming to foster a robust ecosystem of strategic communications within Brazilian civil society.
