ICCI joins the discussion at Pitangueiras to reflect on aesthetics as a political tool

ICCI attended the first edition of Pitangueiras, an initiative by Instituto Ibirapitanga designed to foster a shared space for dialogue on aesthetics as a tool for political action.

The event explored how strategies in this field can support and amplify efforts for racial justice and systemic food transformation. It featured panels on topics such as working with data and visual aesthetics to enhance advocacy strategies, bringing together illustrators and leaders from civil society organizations.

For ICCI’s team, it was an opportunity to discuss the role of communications in the nonprofit sector and to explore pathways for building new narratives through visual strategies. Sharing this space reinforces our belief that working through strategic communications is a crucial resource in advancing climate, democracy, and justice. It also reaffirms our commitment to supporting initiatives that work on creating innovative and effective narratives targeted at strategic audiences.
